PFR (product flow regulators)

For space-saving cooling of the biscuits after baking, as well as controlled emptying of the oven in the event of a line standstill. A PFR serves mainly to separate the production process from the packaging process in order to avoid any adverse mutual influence. However, PFRs may also be used for additional functions like cooling and buffering. Typically, Rotzinger can interpose a PFR downstream from the oven which buffers the biscuits for a certain time for cooling purposes and also allows emptying of the oven in the event of a malfunction on the packaging side, so that products still in the oven are not scorched. A PFR for cooling is also frequently used where there is insufficient space for long cooling belts, and installing then would require structural extensions.

Biscuits have particular sliding properties; ROTZINGER therefore uses a special coating for the PFR's gondola shelves and also offers additional vibration-reducing functions which ensure an optimal performance of the PFR. In some cases ROTZINGER carries out practical tests with products provided by the customer and then considers the results to suggest appropriate configurations.

Depending on product properties, performance, available space etc ROTZINGER can suggest various products which are suitable PFRs; the most important of these are:
