New solutions to boost efficiency of chocolate and biscuit lines
Is your production line already performing at its peak? Does product overflow or waste still occur? You might be able to take out more of your line: It is important that the production process and the packaging line do not hinder each other especially at the point where already the smallest perturbation impacts the whole line performance. You can achieve this process decoupling easily with the new „Accuflex PFR” Product Flow Regulator (PFR) from the Swiss company ROTZINGER. Different infeed and outfeed velocities are compensated by the Accuflex PFR which prevents from a decrease of the line performance and from a product loss. The Accuflex PFR feeds packaging machines without interruption, without dynamic pressure, continuously and therefore with higher performance. The efficiency of the single packaging machine is therewith increased and consequential disturbances are reduced. This allows you to enhance the performance of the production process and hence also the performance of the complete line! Since the Accuflex PFR already detects and rejects misaligned product rows at its infeed, the availability of the line is improved.
The process of feeding packaging machines where the product flow is regulated and controlled by an Accuflex PFR is usually far better than any other approach such as stand-by leg, re-feeding or collecting: It is not only more efficient, it also requires less space, lower overall investment and operating costs. Therefore, no additional packaging capacity is needed anymore. Even upgrading a line with an Accuflex PFR can increase the production performance by up to 20% and, at the same time, reduce drastically waste, product losses as well as labor.
This new FIFO PFR with the “yo-yo buffering principle” includes many functional novelties: Improved hygiene, reliable operation, accessibility and cleaning have consequently been implemented. The new design answers particularly well to the high hygiene expectations of our customers. The new Accuflex PFR is built to prevent - as far as this is possible - the build-up of stain: Simple frame with few chamfered elements, optimized cable routing, coating of shelves adapted to the products, and much, much more. An antistatic treatment of the gondolas diminishes not only the electric charging, but reduces also the creation of stain. The row performance at the in- and outfeed can be optimized with additional functions. The large floor clearance and the easy access makes cleaning rapid and simple. The new Accuflex is very easy to run and autonomous: Operators can confidently focus on tasks on other machines of the packaging line.
